Bridges & Crossings

Today we went hiking on a trail a few blocks from our house. As we hiked we discovered that the trail was perhaps not intended for more than foot traffic. We scaled over fallen trees, crossed a creek with only a few 2x6" boards laying across the water as a makeshift bridge, and bounced the jeep stroller over large rocks. As the creek flowed by, the rush of metropolitan life disappeared. As we neared the end of the trail we were surprised to find a real bridge, a reminder that we were re-entering civilization. It was great to soak up nature on this beautiful day.
