Birthday Cake Tradition

It is a Bairn family tradition for baby's first birthday to put a cake and the baby on the table, then give him/her free reign, then sit back watch and see what happens. In keeping of tradition Adam got his very own birthday cake.


Awe, all clean again.

Oh Broom

Adam studied our new broom on our walk back from the store. He loves brooms. He carried this new one through the store and all the way home. After a nap he tried its sweeping ability and seemed quite pleased.

Tools in His Hands

Adam is often seen carrying a tool of some sort in his right hand. Some of his favorites have been spatulas, whisks, and paintbrushes. Today he was delighted when he saw Mommy pull out the screwdrivers to use. At one point he was holding three at a time. What will he do with his hands as he grows up?

Vroom Vroom

Adam is learning to drive. He has the "Vroom Vroom" sound down now, much to Daddy's delight.

My Grandpa

Grandpa stopped by tonight after work. Daddy and he worked on a computer program together. While grandpa was sitting on the couch Adam climbed up into his lap. This is the first time he has climbed into his lap on his own. It surprised Grandpa a little. Grandpa, Adam wants you to know you can come visit him anytime.

Lil' Gardener

Adam checks on our tomatoes. Nope, not ripe yet. Have the England family tomato genes passed on to him?

Just Try Keeping Me Still

We stopped by our friends Steve and Meredith's home tonight. We decided to snap a quick picture of Adam with the Aquilas. Adam quickly grabbed Steve's eye glasses and attempted to make this break for the floor.
